Protect Your Pets
At Mosquito Sheild of MS, we aim to enhance your time spent outdoors with your family and friends as our management system reduces and potentially eliminates larva and adult mosquitoes, making it possible for you to enjoy your outdoor space without the discomfort, disruption, and health risks caused by mosquitoes.
Mosquitoes hatch, and unfortunately carry harmful and deadly diseases, such as West Nile, Zika Virus, Dengue, to name a few. Surprisingly, Mississippi accounts for 60% of West Nile cases in the US. Mosquitoes also affect your pets through both direct bite irritation, and by transmitting diseases, such as Heartworms and parasites.
Our program provides a superior source of treatment and significantly reduces the population of these harmful, disease carrying pests.
Protect Your Family
Mississippi Summers are hot & humid, making our surrounding areas of outdoor activity a hotspot for mosquitoes and a necessity for mosquito control!
Mosquito activity can quickly move from bothersome to unbearable during peak season if left to chance, which usually happens between the months of March and November, and are also the best Mississippi months to enjoy the outdoors.
In addition to our mosquito control program, there are some things you can do to reduce mosquito activity. Mosquitos lay their eggs in standing water, some suggestions to reduce egg reproduction would include emptying bird baths, water bowls, empty plant pots, kiddy pools, standing water in your yard, and any other areas of still water.
Outdoor Living Protection
Our goal is for you and your family to enjoy your outdoor space without the discomfort, disruption and health risks caused by mosquitos. In an effort to eliminate the population of mosquitoes in your area, our program includes applying a barrier around the perimeter of your property approximately every 21 days.
We also recommend you and your family protect yourselves by applying mosquito repellent containing EPA registered and active ingredients like Deet or Picardian, as well as treating your pets with a reputable heart worm prevention protocol.
Our program contains EPA approved products to provide long lasting control of mosquitoes.
